High-energy nuclear collisions create a quark-gluon plasma, whose initial condition and subsequent expansion vary from event to event, impacting the distribution of the eventwise average transverse momentum [P([p_{T}])]. Disentangling the contributions from fluctuations in the nuclear overlap size (geometrical component) and other sources at a fixed size (intrinsic component) remains a challenge. This problem is addressed by measuring the mean, variance, and skewness of P([p_{T}]) in ^{208}Pb+^{208}Pb and ^{129}Xe+^{129}Xe collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.

Article Synopsis
  • This scoping review examines treatment options for genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM), a commonly overlooked condition caused by reduced estrogen levels during menopause, leading to various symptoms impacting women's quality of life.
  • The review analyzed 451 articles and ultimately included 19 studies that highlight first-line treatments like lubricants and moisturizers, as well as hormonal therapies such as selective estrogen receptor modulators and DHEA for managing severe symptoms.
  • It emphasizes the importance of tailored therapy and effective communication to help women make informed treatment choices while calling for more research into GSM therapies, especially concerning safety in women with cancer histories.

Introduction: Time is a crucial abstract construct, allowing us to perceive the duration of events. Working memory (WM) plays an important role in manipulating and storing the different features of environmental stimuli, including temporal features. Different brain structures, including the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, are involved in time processing.

Introduction: Mature cystic teratomas (MCTs) are the most common neoplasm of the ovary, occurring in 10-20% of women during their lifetimes. MCTs may rarely undergo malignant transformation, of which squamous cell carcinoma is the most common histopathology. This rare malignancy is poorly understood; therefore, medical and surgical treatment have yet to be optimized to produce the best outcomes for patients diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in MCT (SCC-MCT).
