Background: Children in out-of-home-care (OOHC) are a vulnerable population, typically with complex needs, however there is minimal research examining the behavioural presentations that lead to the increased use of acute emergency care by OOHC children.
Objective: This study aimed to describe differences in lifetime complexity factors identified during ambulance attendances between children with and without an identified history of OOHC. Further, this study aimed to describe whether having an identified history of being in OOHC was associated with increased utilisation of emergency care resources and increased likelihood of multiple ambulance attendances.
Unlabelled: In the United States, the general laboratory method for diagnosing pertussis, caused by is real-time PCR (rt-PCR) targeting insertion sequence 481 (IS). Other species (, and ) can also cause a pertussis-like syndrome, and some commercial laboratory assays include the insertion sequence 1001 (pIS) that can detect /). Because IS exists in and , current commercial assays cannot differentiate these two species.

In this study, we have optimised methods for the isolation and culture of equine aortic endothelial cells (EAoECs) and characterised their angiogenic functions in vitro. Mechanical dissociation, followed by magnetic purification using an anti-VE-cadherin antibody, resulted in EC-enriched cultures suitable for further study.

Iteratively, and at different levels of government and globally, population-level guidance was created and updated, resulting in the need for a living catalog of guidelines, the eCOVID-19 Recommendations Map and Gateway to Contextualization (RecMap). This article focuses on the approach that was used to analyze barriers and opportunities associated with using the RecMap in public health in Canada.
