This study aims to explore adoption barriers from three aspects critical to facilitating robotic-assisted-surgery (RAS) adoption: the human-robot-interaction, built-environment, and training. Guidelines for research and design are identified from these perspectives. This study consisted of three phases: 1) surveys to RAS stakeholders and a crowd-sourcing survey; 2) stakeholder focus groups; and 3) a workshop with subject-matter experts to prioritize future research for RAS.

The shorter DTE-catechol ligand did not efficiently assemble with Ga metal ions; however, elongation with a phenylene-amide spacer group enabled the successful formation of a novel triply DTE-functionalized coordination [GaL] cage. This cage represents a unique example of integrating DTE photoswitches with main group metals in a supramolecular coordination framework.

Methods: A retrospective review of prospectively collected data obtained from the Abdominal Core Health Quality Collaborative (ACHQC) registry was performed on all patients who underwent ventral hernia repair.
Objective: We aimed to determine whether n-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate (NB2C) adhesive is a safe and effective mechanism for nonpenetrating mesh and peritoneal fixation during laparoscopic groin hernia repair.
Background: Chronic pain after laparoscopic groin hernia repair has been associated with penetrating fixation, but there had been no US Food and Drug Administration-approved devices for nonpenetrating fixation in this context.
Methods: Patients undergoing laparoscopic transabdominal preperitoneal (TAP) or totally extraperitoneal (TEP) groin hernia repair with mesh at 1 of 5 academic medical centers were randomized to mesh (TAP/TEP) and peritoneal (TAP) fixation with NB2C adhesive or absorbable tacks.
