Polypharmacy is a common issue, especially among elderly patients resulting in administration errors and patient inconvenience. Hypertension is a prevalent health condition that frequently leads to polypharmacy, as its treatment typically requires the co-administration of more than one different Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API's). To address these issues, floating hollow torus-shaped dosage forms were developed, aiming at providing prolonged gastric retention and sustained drug release.

Applying a modified health belief model, we hypothesize that behavioral outcomes at the policy level are a function of NPIs, perceived severity, and social context. We employ a Prais-Winsten estimation in 2-week averages and report panel-corrected standard errors to find that NPIs have clear, yet differential, effects on public health and the economy in terms of statistical significance and time lags.

Methods: Seventy-five subjects were included in this study and divided into three groups, each consisting of 25 subjects: the cholecystitis group, the asymptomatic cholelithiasis group, and normal controls. Patients with acute cholecystitis fulfilled all the diagnostic criteria as stated in the latest Tokyo Guidelines.
Objective: The aim of our article is to highlight the importance of the immediate treatment of lower extremity degloving injuries, in order to prevent complications.
Cases Presentation: Here we present two cases of degloving injury of the lower extremity, both resulting from motorway accidents. The first one concerned a 65-year-old man suffering from multiple limb fractures and a degloving injury of the right thigh, which was immediately treated with extensive debridement and primary full-thickness skin graft re-approximation.
Introduction: Gynaecological structures such as the ovaries, fallopian tubes, ligaments and uterus are rarely encountered inside a hernial sac. The prevalence of groin hernias containing parts of female genitalia remains unknown. The aim of this review was to summarise the existing evidence on inguinal hernias containing ovaries with or without the other female adnexa.
