Purpose: Magnetization prepared rapid gradient echo (MPRAGE) is a useful three-dimensional (3D) T1-weighted sequence, but is not a priority in routine brain examinations. We hypothesized that converting 3D MRI localizer (AutoAlign Head) images to MPRAGE-like images with deep learning (DL) would be beneficial for diagnosing and researching dementia and neurodegenerative diseases. We aimed to establish and evaluate a DL-based model for generating MPRAGE-like images from MRI localizers.

The assembly of biological systems forms nonequilibrium patterns with different functionalities through molecular-level communication via stepwise sequential interaction and activation. The mimicking of this molecular signaling offers extensive opportunities to design self-assemblies of bioinspired synthetic nonequilibrium systems to develop molecular robots with active, adaptive, and autonomous behavior. Herein, the design and construction of biomolecular motor system, microtubule (MT)-kinesin based molecular swarm system, are reported through stepwise sequential interactions of DNA.

Article Synopsis
  • The study compared EEG findings in patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD) versus dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) and Parkinson's disease with dementia (PDD) to identify differences in brain activity patterns.
  • Visual analysis showed that patients with DLB/PDD had a lower posterior dominant rhythm (PDR) frequency and certain EEG patterns strongly indicated DLB/PDD while ruling out AD.
  • Both visual and automated EEG analyses yielded similar results regarding PDR, demonstrating that visual assessment effectively distinguishes between AD and DLB/PDD, with automated analysis acting as a supportive tool, particularly for Parkinson's-related dementia.

Sunitinib (SUN) is a first-line drug for the treatment of renal clear carcinoma cells by targeting receptor tyrosine kinases (RTK) on the cell membrane. However, the effective delivery of SUN to the cell membrane remains a significant challenge. In this study, we fabricated precisely structured DNA nanotapes with strong surface SUN adhesion, enabling RTK inhibition of renal clear carcinoma cells.

Background: There has been a significant increase in scientific investigations of the hearing-dementia association among the research on potentially modifiable risk factors for cognitive impairment. We tested two clinical questions. Analysis 1: does persistent hearing aid (HA) use decrease the decline in cognitive function caused by ageing? Analysis 2: does cognitive function at the time of HA fitting predict future persistent HA use?

Methods: This case-control study performed at two referral centres reported data obtained over a 4.
