Developing Medical Students' Broad Clinical Diagnostic Reasoning Through GP-Facilitated Teaching in Hospital Placements.

Purpose: Graduating medical students need broad clinical diagnostic reasoning skills that integrate learning across clinical specialties to deal with undifferentiated patient problems. The opportunity to acquire these skills may be limited during clinical placements on increasingly specialized hospital wards. We developed an intervention of regular general practitioner (GP) facilitated teaching in hospital placements to enable students to develop broad clinical diagnostic reasoning.

Osler-Weber-Rendu disease: MR findings in the liver.

We report the magnetic resonance (MR) findings in the liver of a patient with known Osler-Weber-Rendu disease, a rare disorder characterized by arteriovenous malformations involving multiple organ systems. To the best of our knowledge, the MR findings in liver involvement have not been previously reported.

Noncolloid neuroepithelial cysts in the lateral ventricle: magnetic resonance features.

Two patients with presumed intraventricular neuroepithelial cysts are reported. Their characteristic features on magnetic resonance imaging are described, and the importance of demonstrating the cysts' walls is underscored.

Computed tomography and MR imaging of thalamic neuroepithelial cysts.

Neuroepithelial cysts of the CNS are rare. Two cases of noncolloid neuroepithelial cysts of the thalamus are reported. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging aided in ascertaining the nature of these cysts.
