Guide dogs play a crucial role in enhancing independence and mobility for people with visual impairment, offering invaluable assistance in navigating daily tasks and environments. However, the extensive training required for these dogs is costly, resulting in a limited availability that does not meet the high demand for such skilled working animals. Towards optimizing the training process and to better understand the challenges these guide dogs may be experiencing in the field, we have created a multi-sensor smart collar system.

Background: Overactive bladder (OAB) is an issue in the field of urology that is known for causing symptoms like urges to urinate frequently during the day and even at night (known as nocturia). Nerve growth factor (NGF) and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) play a vital role in the growth and operation of nerve cells in the body. New studies are indicating a connection between these neurotrophins and OAB; As such this research project was undertaken to explore how levels of NGT and BDNF in urine might be related to the presence of OAB in individuals.

This paper introduces a wirelessly powered multimodal animal physiological monitoring application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC). Background: Exosomes (Exos) are candidates for functional recovery and regeneration following sciatic nerve crushed (SNC) injury due to their composition which can accelerate tissue regeneration. Therefore, mouse embryonic fibroblast-derived exosomes were evaluated for their regenerative capacity in SNC injury.

Methods And Results: In the study, 40 Balb/c males (20 ± 5 g) and two pregnant mice (for embryonic fibroblast tissue) were used and crushed injury was induced in the left sciatic nerve with an aneurysm clamp.
