Purpose: The mismatch between the medio-lateral (ML) and the antero-posterior (AP) size of femoral components in total knee arthroplasty (TKA) has been linked to gender, ethnicity, morphotype and height differences in patients. The hypothesis of this study was that the AP size measurement of a femoral component increases with more external rotation in posterior referencing TKA.

Purpose: The lateral approach in the valgus knee asks for a lot of soft tissue releases during the arthrotomy. The hypothesis of this study was that the far medial subvastus approach could be used in valgus knees and would guarantee both functional and radiological good to excellent results.

Methods: This is a retrospective study on 78 patients (84 knees) undergoing primary total knee arthroplasty (TKA) for type I or II fixed valgus knees.

The purpose of this study was to validate the 'Forgotten Joint' score (FJS-12), a 12-item questionnaire designed to analyze the patient's ability to forget the joint in everyday life, in French and to compare the results of this Patient Reported Outcome (PRO) score in patients who had other than total joint arthroplasties. The score was compared in 122 patients that had either medial unicompartmental (N=51), patellofemoral (N=21) or total knee arthroplasty (N=50). After having validated the FJS-12 in French, a similar PRO was observed in unicompartmental and postero-stabilized total knee arthroplasty.

Purpose: Few donor sites for vascularized reconstruction of convex joint surfaces have been described. We studied the feasibility of a convex vascularized osteochondral graft harvested from the medial femoral condyle and trochlea, on an anatomical and practical point of view.

Methods: An injection-corrosion technique was used on 16 fresh cadaver specimens, and completed by a modified Spalteholz clearing.
