[Atypical entrapment syndrome of the distal suprascapular nerve of the incisura scapulae. Case report and overview of the literature].

Entrapment neuropathy of the suprascapular nerve is a rare disease of the peripheral nerve system. Of Mumenthaler's 3465 patients with peripheral nerve lesions, only 15 had suprascapular nerve damage. Since Thompson's and Kopell's first description of suprascapular entrapment neuropathy in 1959, some reports have been published.

[Presentation of a treatment concept of Duchenne muscular dystrophy with the aim at improvement and restoration of walking and standing ability].

A concept for treating progressive muscular dystrophy type Duchenne is presented. It aims at the improvement of quality of life by surgery of the lower extremities. 60 Duchenne patients were treated by a standard operating regime.

[Extra-abdominal aggressive fibromatosis: case report and literature review].

The extra-abdominal aggressive fibromatosis is a locally aggressive non-metastasizing fibroproliferative tumor of the locomotive system with an extremely high recurrence rate. By means of a case report the treatment possibilities are discussed. The recommended treatment of choice is a wide resection where possible.

Ultrasonographic evaluation of Legg-Calve-Perthes disease based on sonoanatomic criteria and the application of new measuring techniques.

This study attempts an ultrasonographic classification of Legg-Calve-Perthes disease according to sonoanatomic and sonometric criteria. Four stages, similar to standard radiological staging, could reproducibly be found in 29 patients with unilateral disease. The stages could be significantly differentiated according to descriptive sonoanatomic criteria and partially newly introduced sonographic measurements, including epiphysis-metaphysis-index and acetabulum-epiphysis-distance.
