Necrotizing vasculitis was diagnosed at hysterectomy, and later renal biopsy demonstrated focal segmental necrotizing glomerulonephritis. The pathological findings together with the presence of pANCA was consistent with a diagnosis of microscopic polyangiitis (MPA).
