Exploring international classification of functioning, disability and health applicability for coding work-related disability: a study on depression and fibromyalgia in Swedish sick leave certificates.

Objective: This study explores the effectiveness of using the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) as a coding framework to document work-related disability information in sick leave certificates, focusing on depression and fibromyalgia in Sweden.

Design: A qualitative ICF linking study was conducted, mapping information from 200 certificates per diagnosis to ICF.

Methods: ICF linking rules were followed strictly.

Optimisation of cell fate determination for cultivated muscle differentiation.

Production of cultivated meat requires defined medium formulations for the robust differentiation of myogenic cells into mature skeletal muscle fibres in vitro. Although these formulations can drive myogenic differentiation levels comparable to serum-starvation-based protocols, the resulting cultures are often heterogeneous, with a significant proportion of cells not participating in myofusion, limiting maturation of the muscle. To address this problem, we employed RNA sequencing to analyse heterogeneity in differentiating bovine satellite cells at single-nucleus resolution, identifying distinct cellular subpopulations including proliferative cells that fail to exit the cell cycle and quiescent 'reserve cells' that do not commit to myogenic differentiation.

Education in lifestyle medicine for future physicians - a strategy to reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease.

There is a compelling need to improve all physicians' knowledge on lifestyle medicine (LM). This training needs to start early during medical education. This case report describes the feasibility and effects of integrating LM into an existing core curriculum of a Swedish undergraduate medical programme.

Ga complexes of 8-hydroxyquinoline-2-carboxylic acid: Chemical speciation and biological activity.

The binding ability of 8-hydroxyquinoline-2-carboxylic acid (8-HQA) towards Ga has been investigated by ISEH (Ion Selective Electrode, glass electrode) potentiometric and UV/Vis spectrophotometric titrations in KCl at I = 0.2 mol dm and at T = 298.15 K.
