Osteoporosis is a disease characterized by an increase in bone resorption and a decline in bone density, which leads to increased susceptibility to bone fractures. Long-term therapy is needed to increase bone mineral density and maintain bone strength. Safe and well-tolerated medical therapies are required for long-term maintenance.

Large cell calcifying Sertoli tumor of the testis was found in a 16-year-old boy who had presented with gynecomastia. Serum estrogen level, which had been elevated preoperatively, returned to normal following orchiectomy. Charcot-Bottcher crystalloids are demonstrated in the neoplastic Sertoli cells.
