RETINAL BURNS IN PHOTIC RETINOPATHY: THREE CASE REPORTS.

Photic retinopathy (PR) is due to retinal phototoxicity, especially affecting the macula, resulting from exposure to sun, welding devices and lasers. It leads to oxidative damage to the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) and the surrounding photoreceptors. Early recognition of this visual threatening condition, follow-up lesion evolution, and prevention of prolonged ocular exposure to lights is warranted.

Atypical Cogan's syndrome: A case report.

Cogan's syndrome is a rare autoimmune inflammatory disease, characterized by interstitial keratitis and audio-vestibular signs. The syndrome was first described in 1945 by David G. Cogan.

Diagnostic Accuracy and Relationship Between Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography Vessel Density and Structural/Functional Parameters in Healthy, Preperimetric, and Manifest Glaucoma Eyes.

Purpose: To evaluate circumpapillary vessel density (cpVD) in normal subjects, preperimetric glaucoma, and manifest glaucoma, assess the relationship between cpVD and both structural and functional parameters and compare the diagnostic accuracy of the structural and vascular measurements.

Methods: An analytical cross-sectional study of 153 eyes of 83 individuals divided into three groups: Normal subjects, preperimetric glaucoma, and manifest glaucoma. All individuals underwent standard automated perimetry, spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT), and OCT angiography (OCT-A) centered on the optic nerve.
