Background And Objectives: Compassion fatigue and burnout are two distinct forms of mental health distress faced by educational workers. Researchers have shown a high level of both phenomena across the field of education; however, a better understanding of what educational workers already do for positive mental and emotional health is needed.

Methods: This research study examined three years of data, collected via survey, inquiring into the various interventions, namely supports and resources, that educational workers use to support positive mental health.

Background: Prostate cancer is the most diagnosed cancer in Black/African American men (AA) and the second‑leading cause of cancer-related deaths. A prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test is an early detection screening tool for prostate cancer, but uptake of PSA screening remains low among AA men. Greater PSA screening rates among AA men, coupled with earlier treatment, may reduce disparities in prostate cancer outcomes, including mortality.

Cytoplasmic dynein-1 (dynein) is an essential molecular motor controlled in part by autoinhibition. We recently identified a structure of partially autoinhibited dynein bound to Lis1, a key dynein regulator mutated in the neurodevelopmental disease lissencephaly. This structure provides an intermediate state in dynein's activation pathway; however, other structural information is needed to fully explain Lis1 function in dynein activation.
