Unlabelled: The aim of this research was a retrospective analysis of indications for caesarean section during last fifteen years and assessing recent trends.

Materials And Method: 1106 pregnancies and deliveries by caesarean section at the Ist Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Medical University of Warsaw in 1985-86 (547--I group) and 2000-01 (559--II group) were enrolled in the study. It was performed in order to estimate and evaluate such factors as age of women, mean duration of pregnancy, indications for caesarean section, complications, and general newborn condition.

Objectives Of The Study: The aim of the study was to compare the premature newborns' condition of patients hospitalized due to PROM with the group of premature newborns of patients with amniorrhexis at the time of labor.

Material And Methods: The studied group consisted of 74 newborns of 70 gravidas hospitalized in the Department of Pathological Pregnancy and the control group of 77 newborns of 70 patients. On analysing the investigated materials special attention was paid to: the time of PROM, the time and the way of pregnancy, the age of the, obstetrical history, the symptoms of intrauterine infection.

Courses of pregnancy and ways of delivery of 274 nulliparous women aged over 30, who delivered between 1992 and 1998 were analyzed. Control group consisted of 274 nulliparous women aged 22-27, who delivered in the same period. Among the women delivering over 30, premature labours, medical disorders during pregnancy and deliveries by cesarean sections were noticeable more frequent.

Courses of pregnancy and ways of delivery in 216 girls below 19 years of age, who delivered between 1991-1997 were analyzed. Control group consisted 216 women aged 22-28, who delivered in the same period. Among the women delivering below 19 years of age, complications of pregnancy appeared more rarely than in control group.
