Encorafenib is a B-Raf proto-oncogene serine/threonine-protein kinase (BRAF) inhibitor, approved in the EU and USA, in combination with the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibitor cetuximab, for the treatment of patients with BRAF-mutant metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). In the pivotal BEACON CRC trial, patients achieved longer survival with encorafenib in combination with cetuximab vs. conventional chemotherapy.

Social and behavioral factors such as smoking and alcohol consumption are for such a high incidence. However, by and large, the reasons for these discrepancies lie in the reluctance of the underserved population to adopt preventive measures such as prophylactic Human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccines and Pap smear screening that have significantly reduced the incidence and mortality rate of cervical cancer in Caucasian women.

Systemic production of nitric oxide (NO) by inducible nitric-oxide synthase (iNOS) is a major cause of hypotension and poor organ perfusion seen in septic shock. Here, we show that pretreatment of F344 rats with the cancer chemoprotective agent 3H-1,2-dithiole-3-thione (D3T) blocks lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-mediated induction of hepatic iNOS and significantly reduces the associated serum levels of NO metabolites and enzyme markers of toxicity provoked by treatment with LPS.

All the animals were sacrificed during the months of March through June (non-breeding season). Although the distribution of these three neuropeptides was similar to other mammalian species, species-specific gender differences in the levels of neuropeptides were noticed in the goat CNS.
