We have unveiled a new manganese-catalyzed electrochemical amination method to transform activated alkenes into a diverse array of vinyl amines harnessing sodium azide as the aminating reagent. The strategy claims notable versatility by accommodating a broad spectrum of substrates, demonstrating good compatibility with diverse functional groups, as well as delivering a moderate to good range of yields. The successful late-stage functionalization further underscores its practical utility.

Structural RNAs exhibit a vast array of recurrent short 3D elements involving non-Watson-Crick interactions that help arrange canonical double helices into tertiary structures. We present CaCoFold-R3D, a probabilistic grammar that predicts these RNA 3D motifs (also termed modules) jointly with RNA secondary structure over a sequence or alignment. CaCoFold-R3D uses evolutionary information present in an RNA alignment to reliably identify canonical helices (including pseudoknots) by covariation.

Article Synopsis
  • The study examines the impact of introducing the rotavirus vaccine (RVV) into India's Universal Immunisation Programme (UIP) on private-sector immunization rates.
  • After the RVV was introduced, there was a significant decline in private-sector sales across several states, particularly with drops of 37.4% in Rajasthan and 72.2% in Uttar Pradesh-East.
  • While some states like Haryana initially saw a rise in private RVV sales, overall trends showed a long-term decrease in private-sector utilization of the vaccine following the UIP introduction.
