This study aims to establish relationships between inflammatory status, ferrokinetics and lipid metabolism in patients with diabetes mellitus. Subclinical inflammation was assessed by levels of high-sensitive C-reactive protein, tumor necrosis factor-α and erythrocyte sedimentation rate.
