Introduction: This article describes the invention of graphene oxide (GO) or reduced graphene oxide (rGO) functionalised with 2-methoxy estradiol. The presence of polar hydroxyl groups enables the binding of 2-ME to GO/rGO through hydrogen bonds with epoxy and hydroxyl groups located on the surface and carbonyl and carboxyl groups located at the edges of graphene flake sheets.
Methods: The patented method of producing the subject of the invention and the research results regarding its anticancer effectiveness via cytotoxicity in an in vivo model (against A375 melanoma and 143B osteosarcoma cells) are described.
Studies have shown that probiotics can decrease the symptoms of respiratory tract infections as well as increase antibody responses following certain vaccinations. We examined the effect of probiotic supplementation on anti-SARS-CoV-2 specific antibody responses upon SARS-CoV-2 infection as well as after COVID-19 vaccination. In this randomized, triple-blinded, placebo-controlled intervention study with a parallel design, 159 healthy adults without prior SARS-CoV-2 infection or COVID-19 vaccination and any known risk factors for severe COVID-19 were randomly allocated into two study arms.

Background: Inconsistency and a lack of clarity exist regarding the advanced practice registered nurse peer review process in hospitals throughout the country.
Local Problem: The current APRN peer review process in place for over a decade at an academic medical center has never been evaluated, and neither fulfills ongoing professional practice evaluation requirements nor meets the expectations of peer review.
Methods: Pre-post intervention quality improvement project (Standards for Quality Improvement Reporting Excellence checklist).
Aim And Objectives: To explore and understand the current practice, perceptions, and knowledge of general surgery trainees, advanced practice providers, and surgical nurses regarding opioid prescribing and administration. To this end, a novel opioid education and training was introduced to educate these practitioners on safe opioid practices in surgical patients.
Background: National awareness of the opioid epidemic has increased significantly in the last several years.
