We report an invasive mycosis case in Japan caused by Bjerkandera adusta, a fungal species not previously reported as a causative pathogen of invasive mycosis. B. adusta was identified by using phylogenetic analysis.

However, establishing consistent methods for culturing stable hepatocytes remains a challenge. Recently, several investigations have shown the reprogramming of mature hepatocytes into hepatic progenitor cells by applying specific small molecule compounds, including Y-27632, (a ROCK inhibitor), A-83-01 (a TGFβ inhibitor), and CHIR99021 (a GSK3 inhibitor) (termed YAC) in rat, mouse, and humans, respectively.

KMT2B is the second most frequent locus of HBV-DNA integration in HCC; however, its role and function remain unclear. We aimed to clarify the impact of HBV-KMT2B integration in HCC development using a human genome-edited induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSCs) model.

Shiitake (Lentinula edodes) contains various beneficial compounds and possesses several notable properties. However, there are few reports on its molecular breeding due to delay in development of its gene-modifying technology. Therefore, here, strain UV30 (pyrG -) was bred from the UV-irradiated protoplasts of strain M2.
