Background: Given that anxiety is associated with functional disability, we investigated whether an intervention designed to reduce prenatal anxiety could improve functional disability in the postpartum period. We also examined whether perceived social support in the third trimester mediated this relationship, and if the extent of the mediation differed by economic empowerment.
Methods: We included 590 pregnant Pakistani women with at least mild anxiety symptoms to a randomized controlled trial (RCT).
Objective: To identify the incidence of and characterize movement disorders that arise within one year after acute ischemic stroke (AIS) treated with IV thrombolytic therapy (IVT), mechanical thrombectomy (MT), or both.
Background: Movement disorders emerging after ischemic stroke have been previously described and emerged with low frequencies. However, new patterns of brain infarction have emerged in the wake of MT as a standard of care for ischemic stroke with large vessel occlusion, including infarcts selectively or primarily involving the basal ganglia.
Rationale: Most cases of acute kidney injury (AKI) resolve within 72 h. However, a small number of patients with persistent severe AKI have significantly worse outcomes. We sought to describe the occurrence, impact on outcome and risk factors associated with persistent severe AKI in critically ill patients using a standardized definition.

However, immunologic characterization of appendiceal cancer (AC) has lagged behind advancements in other gastrointestinal malignancies. This study aims to define the AC immune microenvironment by quantifying CD3+ and CD8+ lymphocyte densities and assessing their prognostic significance.
