[Neurological aspects of systemic lupus erythematosus in individuals with late ontogenetic debut.].

The review presents an analysis of publications on the features of the manifestation of systemic lupus erythematosus in the elderly. The article reflects the probable causes and mechanisms of the development of neurological manifestations of the disease. The clinical picture in elderly patients is described in detail, the features of immunological indicators are noted.

Cellular Gauge Symmetry and the Li Organization Principle: A Mathematical Addendum. Quantifying energetic dynamics in physical and biological systems through a simple geometric tool and geodetic curves.

The present Addendum complements the accompanying paper "Cellular Gauge Symmetry and the Li Organization Principle"; it illustrates a recently-developed geometrical physical model able to assess electronic movements and energetic paths in atomic shells. The model describes a multi-level system of circular, wavy and zigzag paths which can be projected onto a horizontal tape. This model ushers in a visual interpretation of the distribution of atomic electrons' energy levels and the corresponding quantum numbers through rather simple tools, such as compasses, rulers and straightforward calculations.

[Clinical and organizational way of innovative development of regenerative medicine in security agencies].

The article covers organizational aspects of development of innovative technologies in the field of regenerative medicine. It is shown that for the effective design and implementation into medical practice of regenerative medicine requires a united complex of military health care, military medical research and education. The main goal is to formate a biological insurance of personnel to treat different consequences of radiological incidents, burn disease, identification of the remains of the victims; the maximum returning to action after disturbed as a result of health services.

An assessment of frequencies of micronucleated erythrocytes in peripheral blood of pigeons (Columba livia Gm) living in the polluted radioactive area around the Siberian chemical plant.

We have examined approximately 15,000 pigeons living in the radioactive area polluted by releases of the Siberian Chemical Plant (SChP) as a result of an accident in April 1993. We have detected that almost all of the population of pigeons have a high frequency of micronucleated erythrocytes in their peripheral blood. Moreover, we have found that pigeons living in the downwind cities and towns situated closest to the SChP, particularly in the northern districts of the city of Tomsk and in the closed-city of Tomsk-7 (Seversk), have a significantly high frequency of micronucleated erythrocytes.
