Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a motor neuron disease characterized by the progressive degeneration of the upper and lower motor neurons. This disease is mostly observed in patients of the 6th decade or above, and it is extremely rare to observe this pathology in patients less than 50 years of age. This manuscript depicts the magnetic resonance imaging findings of ALS showing a wine glass sign in a 31-year-old female from a rural area with complaints of progressive limb weakness and muscle wasting.

The unique layer-stacking in two-dimensional (2D) van der Waals materials facilitates the formation of nearly degenerate phases of matter and opens novel routes for the design of low-power, reconfigurable functional materials. Electrochemical ion intercalation between stacked layers offers a promising approach to stabilize bulk metastable phases and to explore the effects of extreme carrier doping and strain. However, in situ characterization methods to study the structural evolution and dynamical functional properties of these intercalated materials remains limited.

Unlabelled: Silicosis is a chronic occupational lung disease characterized by persistent inflammation driven by the activation of the cGAS-STING pathway, leading to the downstream activation of IRF3. To develop a natural compound library of COCONUT database for this investigation, Lipinski's rule of five was used and we explored the potential of these compounds to disrupt the IRF3-STING interaction, thereby mitigating the inflammatory response. Molecular docking and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations were employed to assess the binding stability and interaction dynamics of these compounds with IRF3.

Adult type ovarian granulosa cell tumors (AGCTs) are rare malignancies with the near universal c.C402G (p.Cys134Trp) somatic mutation in FOXL2, a Forkhead box-family transcription factor important for ovarian function.

Background: Previous studies found that Midlife Baseline PSA (MB PSA) predicts the risk of developing lethal prostate cancer (PCa), although the cohorts were homogenous in terms of racial compositions. We aimed to investigate racial disparities in the predictive value of MB PSA for lethal PCa in a diverse, contemporary, North American population.

Methods: Our cohort included White and Black men aged 40-59 years, who underwent MB PSA through our health system.
