Frailty is an age-associated state of increased vulnerability due to declines in physiologic systems, leading to compromised ability to withstand stressors. Given India's rapidly aging population, our study aims to estimate the pooled prevalence of frailty and its associated factors in hospital settings. An extensive search was conducted across four databases, up to January 2024.

The comparison with respective cyclohexene, pyridine and tetrahydrofuran complexes reveals that the experimental ligand binding strengths follow the order THF < C6H6 < C6F6 < cyclohexene < pyridine < benzaldehyde < anthraquinone. To understand this surprising order, the complexes' electronic structures were elucidated by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), single crystal X-Ray diffraction (sc-XRD), ultraviolet/visible (UV/Vis) electronic absorption, infrared (IR) vibrational, Pd L3-edge X-ray absorption (XAS), and X-ray photoelectron (XP) spectroscopic techniques, complemented by Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations including energy decomposition (EDA-NOCV) and effective oxidation state (EOS) analyses.

Synthetic ion transport systems, particularly those featuring gating mechanisms, have attracted considerable interest. In this research, we engineered self-assembled barrel rosette ion channels using a photoresponsive azobenzene integrated at an allosteric site.

Despite advances in diagnosis and treatment, including surgery, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy, accurate clinical markers are still lacking. The development of prognostic and predictive indicators, particularly in the context of personalized medicine, could significantly improve CRC patient management.

The toxicity of cytotoxic drugs, their lack of tumor localization, and their uniform dispersion into tumor tissues are the obstacles to cancer therapy. Other cancer treatment drawbacks include short blood circulation half-lives and undesirable pharmacokinetic behavior.
