Improved display and detection of small renal stones using photon-counting detector CT compared to conventional energy-integrating detector CT.

Purpose: To compare same-day photon-counting detector CT (PCD-CT) to conventional energy-integrating detector CT (EID-CT) for detection of small renal stones (≤ 3 mm).

Methods: Patients undergoing clinical dual-energy EID-CT for known or suspected stone disease underwent same-day research PCD-CT. Patients with greater than 10 stones and no visible stones under 3 mm were excluded.

Introduction: Elevated central aortic pressure, cardiac output and peripheral vascular resistance contribute to high morbidity in relation to end organ dysfunction in obstructive and non-obstructive coronary artery disease (NOCAD) cases despite revascularization. Bisoprolol preempts further progression of left ventricular dysfunction in such cases due to anti-ischemic and anti-hypertensive effects, further extending its evaluation in local Indian settings.

Imaging Classification of Exophytic HCC and Our Experience with Microwave Ablation of Type 2 Lesions.

 The purpose of this article is to classify hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) based on imaging and to evaluate the role of ultrasound-guided microwave ablation (MWA) in the management of type 2 exophytic HCC.  A retrospective study was performed at our institution after approval by the Institutional Review Board. Increasing Adherence to Societal Recommendations in Radiology Reporting: A Feasibility Study Using Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound Guidelines for Incidentally Detected Gallbladder Polyps.

Incidental findings in diagnostic imaging are common, but follow-up recommendations often lack consistency. The Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound (SRU) issued guidelines in 2021 for managing incidentally detected gallbladder polyps, aiming to balance follow-up with avoiding overtreatment. There is variable adherence to these guidelines in radiology reports, however, which makes it difficult for the clinician to pursue appropriate follow-up for the patient.
