Point prevalence of antibiotic usage in major referral hospital in Turkey.

Introduction: The most important and undesirable consequence of inappropriate antibiotic use is the spread of antibiotic resistance, increased adverse effects, increased mortality and healthcare costs. We aimed to assess antibiotic usage characteristics in inpatient setting in our center.

Materials And Methods: A one-day, single center point-prevalence study was carried out on June 9th 2021, in Ankara City Hospital in Turkey.
