Super-resolution of biomedical volumes with 2D supervision.

Volumetric biomedical microscopy has the potential to increase the diagnostic information extracted from clinical tissue specimens and improve the diagnostic accuracy of both human pathologists and computational pathology models. Unfortunately, barriers to integrating 3-dimensional (3D) volumetric microscopy into clinical medicine include long imaging times, poor depth/z-axis resolution, and an insufficient amount of high-quality volumetric data. Leveraging the abundance of high-resolution 2D microscopy data, we introduce masked slice diffusion for super-resolution (MSDSR), which exploits the inherent equivalence in the data-generating distribution across all spatial dimensions of biological specimens.

purine nucleotide biosynthesis (DNPNB) consists of sequential reactions that are majorly conserved in living organisms. Several regulation events take place to maintain physiological concentrations of adenylate and guanylate nucleotides in cells and to fine-tune the production of purine nucleotides in response to changing cellular demands. Recent years have seen a renewed interest in the DNPNB enzymes, with some being highlighted as promising targets for therapeutic molecules.

Insight into the role of the Bateman domain at the molecular and physiological levels through engineered IMP dehydrogenases.

Inosine 5'-monophosphate (IMP) dehydrogenase (IMPDH) is an ubiquitous enzyme that catalyzes the NAD -dependent oxidation of inosine 5'-monophosphate into xanthosine 5'-monophosphate. This enzyme is formed of two distinct domains, a core domain where the catalytic reaction occurs, and a less-conserved Bateman domain. Our previous studies gave rise to the classification of bacterial IMPDHs into two classes, according to their oligomeric and kinetic properties.

Incidence, Racial Disparities and Factors Related to Psychosis among Black Individuals in Canada: A Scoping Review.

Objective: Black communities are increasingly concerned about psychosis, a worry echoed by provincial health-care systems across Canada. Responding to the lack of evidence on psychosis in Black communities, this scoping review examined the incidence and prevalence of psychosis, access to care (pathways to care, coercive referrals, interventions, etc.), treatments received, and stigma faced by individuals with psychosis.
