Despite significant advancements in the structural flexibility and functional diversity of fluorescent molecular sensors, the chromophores often require complex synthetic processes and are typically designed to perform only a specific function. Herein, we have demonstrated the unique features of fluorophores based on a fused coumarin-indole scaffold, which are synthetically available via a one-step reaction. Four fluorophores (ICH, ICEst, ICOMe, and ICNMe2) with varying substituents were synthesized and characterized.

However, exploring their vast chemical space is a significant challenge. Here we introduce elf, an unsupervised convolutional autoencoder that encodes electronic band structure images into fingerprint vectors, enabling the autonomous clustering of materials by electronic properties beyond traditional chemical paradigms.

Abstract: Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Parkinson's disease (PD) are neurological conditions that primarily impact the elderly having distinctive traits and some similarities in terms of symptoms and progression. The multifactorial nature of AD and PD encourages exploring potentiality of multi-target therapy for addressing these conditions to conventional, the "one drug one target" strategy. This study highlights the searching of potential HDAC4 inhibitors through multiple screening approaches.

While such fluids are known to be promising in different applications of microfluidics including electrokinetic flows, their capabilities of controlling ion transport and preferential solute segregation in confined fluidic systems remain to be explored. In this work, we bring out the unique role of electrorheological fluids in orchestrating the selective enrichment and depletion of charged species in variable area microfluidic channels.

These demyelinating disorders influence cortical excitability, which has been studied using advanced imaging techniques and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) in our study.
