Background: This qualitative analysis aimed to: identify the physical and physiological factors that characterize elite WKF kumite and kata athletes, identify testing protocols that are used to examine the above mentioned profiles of WKF karatekas and indicate the variables that are significant for elite-level performance.
Methods: A search of electronic databases (PubMed, EBSCO, Scopus) was conducted to identify all studies on physical and physiological profile in elite karatekas from 2012 to 2024. A JBI Qualitative Data Extraction Tool for systematic reviews of qualitative evidence was fulfilled in order to determine which variables should be extracted.
Background/objectives: We evaluated the effects of a 12-week hypocaloric ketogenic diet (KD) on glucose and lipid metabolism, as well as body mass, in overweight, obese, and healthy-weight females. One hundred adult females completed the study, including 64 obese (97.99 ± 11.

The process proceeded under mild conditions and resulted in previously undescribed chiral spiro-system- 3',3'-bis(trifluoromethyl)-3H,3'H-1,1'-spirobis(isobenzofuran)-3-one (5) as the only product. A detailed spectral analysis of the product has been provided, and mechanistic aspects have been investigated.

Specifically, this research focused on how attentional focus on individual muscles, such as the anterior deltoid (AD), pectoralis major (PM), and triceps brachii long (TBL), could influence their electromyographic (EMG) activity during the exercise. : Twelve male participants, with at least five years of strength training experience, performed bench press exercises under two conditions: with extrinsic motivation (no specific focus on muscle activity) and with intrinsic motivation (internal focus on specific muscles).

Their malignant character and resistance to standard therapy are correlated to the over-expression of survival pathways such as Ras/Raf/MEK/ERK and PLCγ1/PKC regulated by TrkB receptor. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the engagement of those pathways in human glioma cells resistance for apoptosis induction by Temozolomide treatment.
