Impartial altruism is often considered a moral ideal but is rare in practice. Instead, generosity typically decreases as social distance increases, a phenomenon termed social discounting. Most people prefer this partiality in their close relationships and view impartial altruists as poorer relationship partners.

Microvertebrate sampling at a single bonebed in the Upper Triassic Chinle Formation within Petrified Forest National Park has yielded diminutive archosauriform femora (PEFO 45274, PEFO 45199) with estimated and measured femoral lengths of ~31 mm and ~ 37 mm, respectively. These new specimens provide the unique opportunity to assess the preservation, body size, and growth dynamics of skeletally immature archosauriforms in North America and compare the growth dynamics of archosauromorphs within an evolutionary and ontogenetic context.

Empathic capacities that support social connections are commonly impaired following damage to the brain's right hemisphere, but how these acquired socio-emotional deficits correspond to real-world social outcomes remains unclear. Using anatomical brain imaging and behavioral data from a large sample of stroke survivors included in the UK Biobank (n = 209), we link damage to regions of the right hemisphere involved in emotion recognition to lower social relationship satisfaction and higher loneliness.

This study examines two low-complexity thiophene copolymers with substituted benzooxadiazole () or benzothiadiazole (). Substituting sulfur with oxygen in increased its ionization energy without affecting the optical gap.

There is a limited understanding of the impact of T2D on the right heart. This study aimed to assess subclinical right heart alterations and their contribution to aerobic exercise capacity (peak oxygen consumption; peak VO) in adults with T2D.
