Prevalence of autism diagnosis has historically differed by demographic factors. Using data from 8224 participants drawn from the Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) Program, we examined relationships between demographic factors and parent-reported autism-related traits as captured by the Social Responsiveness Scale (SRS; T score > 65) and compared these to relations with parent-reported clinician diagnosis of ASD, in generalized linear mixed effects regression analyses. Results suggested lower odds of autism diagnosis, but not of SRS T > 65, for non-Hispanic Black children (adjusted odds ratio [OR] = 0.

P-cadherin (pCAD) and LI-cadherin (CDH17) are cell-surface proteins belonging to the cadherin superfamily that are both highly expressed in colorectal cancer. This co-expression profile presents a novel and attractive opportunity for a dual targeting approach using an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC). In this study, we used a unique avidity-driven screening approach to generate pCAD x CDH17 bispecific antibodies that selectively target cells expressing both antigens over cells expressing only pCAD or only CDH17.

Article Synopsis
  • The study looks at trends and outcomes of parathyroid autotransplantation (PTAT) in children undergoing total thyroidectomy, analyzing data from a surgical database.
  • Of the 2,444 patients analyzed, a small percentage underwent PTAT, with the procedure being performed more frequently by adult subspecialists and in cases with more extensive lymph node removal.
  • The overall use of PTAT declined over the study period, and no significant differences in early postoperative complications or hospital stays were noted between those who had PTAT and those who did not.
