Nurses play an active role in fostering engagement of oncological patients, and, therefore, adopting effective communication and interpersonal skills is crucial. However, the nurse-patient relationship and communication strategies are frequently undervalued. This scoping review aims to address this gap with a twofold objective: (1) to explore the existing literature to identify communication strategies and relational styles employed by nurses to promote patient engagement in non-pediatric oncology patients; (2) to assess current knowledge on this topic to determine the need for future research.

- Out of 4680 patients from 68 centers across 23 countries, the cumulative incidence of COVID-19 infection was 9.6%, with 55.1% of patients providing COVID-related data, revealing varying rates of infection severity.
- Results indicated a higher incidence and severity of infection among deceased patients, and significant proportions of the cohort were unvaccinated or had unknown vaccination statuses; 42.8% of deaths in infected individuals were attributed to COVID-19.
Background And Aim: The selection of appropriate criteria is essential to accurately identify cancer patients eligible for home parenteral nutrition (HPN). In this study, the association between Karnofsky Performance Status (KPS) Scale scores and outcomes in cancer patients on HPN was evaluated.
Methods: Retrospective-observational-longitudinal-analytical study of a database of adult cancer patients on HPN.
