Silver-Russell syndrome (SRS) is a syndrome characterized by prenatal and postnatal growth retardation, facial features, and body asymmetry. SRS is often complicated with hypoglycemia, whose etiology is unclear. We describe the clinical course of 25-year-old man with hypoglycemia.

Comparison of MIBG uptake in the major salivary glands between Lewy body disease and progressive supranuclear palsy.

Introduction: Cardiac sympathetic denervation is specific to Lewy body disease (LBD). In Parkinson's disease (PD), sympathetic denervation in the major salivary glands (parotid glands [PG] and submandibular glands [SMG]) has been demonstrated by I-metaiodobenzylguanidine (MIBG) scintigraphy. We compared sympathetic denervation in the MSG between PD, dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB), and progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP).

Background: Fecal immunochemical tests are commonly performed for colorectal cancer screening. Instant fecal occult blood measurement in toilet bowel movements would improve convenience. Hyperspectral imaging (HSI) enables the nondestructive evaluation of materials that are difficult to assess visually.

Recovery from rituximab-associated persistent hypogammaglobulinaemia in children with nephrotic syndrome.

Background And Hypothesis: There are limited data on the long-term outcomes and risk factors for non-recovery after development of rituximab (RTX)-associated persistent hypogammaglobulinaemia among children with idiopathic nephrotic syndrome (NS).

Methods: A nationwide Japanese survey was conducted to determine the prognosis of patients with childhood-onset idiopathic NS who developed persistent hypogammaglobulinaemia after RTX administration. Specifically, predictors of IgG level recovery and risk factors for serious infection were examined.

Impact of advanced endoscopy training on colonoscopy quality and efficiency.

Objectives: Few reports have detailed improvements in the quality of colonoscopies with continuous training post-fellowship completion. We examined the changes in colonoscopy performance among trainees during our advanced endoscopy training program.

Methods: Screening or surveillance colonoscopies performed by 11 trainees who participated in our 3-year advanced endoscopy training program between April 2015 and March 2020 were retrospectively analyzed.
