Introduction: As creative physical activity influences many aspects of child development-including physical, social, and emotional wellbeing-the effects of two experimental modern dance programs on the development of health-related physical fitness in young school-aged girls were assessed in this longitudinal study.

Materials And Methods: The study sample comprised 203 girls aged 7-11 years, 102 of whom (the control group) were recruited from the elementary school "Vuk Karadžić" from Bačka Palanka, while Experimental Group 1 ( = 51) and Experimental Group 2 ( = 50) respectively consisted of girls who have been involved in a modern dance program for no longer than 1 year and at least 2 years. The participants were also divided into AGE 1 (7-9 years,  = 103) and AGE 2 (9-11 years,  = 100) groups to assess the influence of age on the treatment effect.

The aim of this study is to examine the prognostic role of initial chest computed tomography severity score index (CTSS) and its association with demographic, socio-epidemiological, and clinical parameters in COVID-19 hospitalized patients. A retrospective study included patients who were hospitalized in the COVID Hospital of the Clinical Hospital Center Kosovska Mitrovica from July 2020 to March 2022. We compared patient characteristics and outcome of their hospital stay with values of CT severity score (mild, moderate, and severe form of the disease).

Article Synopsis
  • Higher intake of phytochemicals, as measured by the dietary phytochemical index (DPI), may improve respiratory function and muscle strength in COPD patients.
  • The study involved 71 COPD patients and assessed their intake of phytochemicals alongside various respiratory and muscle function measures during pulmonary rehabilitation.
  • Significant associations were found between DPI levels and key respiratory metrics, suggesting that dietary interventions focusing on phytochemicals could be a promising strategy in managing COPD.

(1) Background/Objectives: Two pneumococcal conjugate vaccines, 15-(PCV15) and 20-(PCV20) valent formulations, are routinely recommended for US children in a 3+1 schedule. The first three doses are administered during the first year of life at 2, 4, and 6 months, while a booster dose is given at 12 to 15 months. This study evaluated the health and economic effects of the PCV20 infant series within the first year of life compared to PCV15.
