Chronic constrictive pericarditis is a rare condition characterized by clinical signs of right heart failure, due to the symphysis of the two pericardial leaflets. Our study focused on a retrospective analysis of 43 CCP surgery observations collected over an 11-year period (2003-2013). The mean age of the patients was 32 years; 65% were male; exercise dyspnea (95%) was the most frequent sign.

It has become a crucial component of the therapeutic arsenal recommended by the learned societies. This paper reports the case of a patient with severe AI following dilatation of the supra-coronary aorta that underwent aortic plasty associated with a supra-coronary tube in the Cardiovascular Surgery Department 'A' of the Ibn Sina Hospital, Rabat, Morocco.

Aim: This study was undertaken to review the clinical features and treatment outcome in patients diagnosed with Asherman's syndrome at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH), Maiduguri, over a 10 years period, 1997-2006.
Objective: To describe the epidemiologic profile of women with vaginal fistulas presenting to the surgical mission trips of the International Organization for Women and Development (IOWD) at the National Hospital of Niamey, Niger.
Methods: In a cross-sectional retrospective study, data were assessed from a database of women who attended the IOWD at the National Hospital of Niamey, Niger, from October 2003 to April 2009. The database was compiled from the history and physical examination forms for each patient visit.
Objective: To test the hypothesis that not trimming the edges of the vesico-vaginal fistula (VVF) during its surgical repair has an advantage in the outcome as compared to the classical teaching of trimming the fistula.
Methodology: Sixty-four females with obstetric VVF were randomized into two groups. Both groups were treated with vaginal anatomical closure in three layers with Martius flap inter-positioning.
