A systematic review of contemporary management of oligometastatic prostate cancer: fighting a challenge or tilting at windmills?

Purpose: Amongst the unanswered questions regarding prostate cancer (PCa), the optimal management of oligometastatic disease remains one of the major concerns of the scientific community. The very existence of this category is still subject to controversy. Aim of this systematic review is to summarize current available data on the most appropriate management of oligometastatic PCa.

[Seminal vesicle cyst: about a case].

We report the case of a patient with symptomatic seminal vesicle cyst on the right side. Imaging examinations (pelvic and endorectal ultrasound, abdominal-pelvic tomodensitometry and MRI) were perdormed and the patient underwent surgical removal of the cyst. In light of this case study, epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment options are discussed.

[Spontaneous hematoma of the adrenal glands].

We report an uncommon case of unilateral spontaneous hematoma of the right adrenal gland in a 22-year old young man. Preoperative diagnosis was made by ultrasonography and CT-scan. A right adrenalectomy was performed.

Leiomyosarcoma of the prostate: a study of two cases.

Leiomyosarcoma of the prostate is rare neoplasm that accounts for less than 0.1% of prostate malignancies. A number of treatment approaches have been adopted including radical surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, but in no instance has a successful outcome been obtained.
