A Blue-Purple Pigment-Producing Bacterium Isolated from the Vezelka River in the City of Belgorod.

Violacein is a biotechnologically significant secondary metabolite due to its antibacterial, antifungal, and other properties. Isolation, research, and identification of violacein producing strains are of interest for the development of biotechnological processes, in order to enhance the biosynthesis of this compound. The purpose of the present work was to study the properties of a newly isolated bacterium capable of synthesizing blue-purple pigment.

[The influence of different types of physical exertions on the mature males' biological age].

We studied the biological age according to anthropometric indexes, mental, physical and both the types of working efficiency in 122 males at the age of 50-59 years. All of them were devided into 5 groups: untrained individuals, going in for general physical training, sport veterans, specializing in endurance training, sport plays representatives, weight-lifters. We found out a younger biological age in sport veterans, who were carrying out dynamic exertions.

[Clinical associations of genetic variants of interleukins with the formation of chronic lympholeukemia in elderly patients].

We investigated association of polymorphisms of interleukin IA (IL-1A), interleukin 4 (IL-4), interleukin 5 (IL-5), interleukin-8 (1L-8) genes in elderly patients with predisposition to the development of chronic lym,nphocytic leukemia (CLL). Risk factor of chronic lymphocytic leukemia is a genetic variant -590T IL-4 (OR = 1,45) and protective factor -590S IL-4 (OR = 0,68). Genetic markers -590T IL-4 (OR = 2,46), -590TT IL-4 (OR = 6,65) and mix-590TT genotype of IL-4 allele 703S-IL-5 (OR = 6.

Development and initial testing of a measure of public and self-stigma in the military.

Objective: This research developed and tested the Military Stigma Scale (MSS), a 26-item scale, designed to measure public and self-stigma, two theorized core components of mental health stigma.

Method: The sample comprised 1,038 active duty soldiers recruited from a large Army installation. Soldiers' mean age was 26.

Safety of telemental healthcare delivered to clinically unsupervised settings: a systematic review.

The safety of telemental healthcare delivered to clinically unsupervised settings, such as a personal residence, must be established to inform policy and further the dissemination of telemental health programs. The aim of this article is to provide an overview of safety issues associated with telemental healthcare and, through a systematic literature review, evaluate the safety of telemental healthcare delivered to unsupervised settings. The review resulted in a total of nine studies that specifically evaluated the delivery of telemental healthcare to unsupervised settings.
