[Treatment of trophic ulcers using the method of constant vacuum extraction].

The results of application of constant vacuum extraction, a new method of the lower extremities trophic ulcers treatment, are adduced. There was shown the method efficacy in the treatment of the varicose disease complications, there were noted the reduction of the wound healing terms in comparison with such using conventional methods of treatment, the advantages and peculiarities of the method as well.

[Complications and adverse effects of laser therapy in patients with suppurative-septic diseases].

The complications and side-effects of laser therapy in 229 patients with septic-purulent diseases were analyzed. Metal taste in oral cavity, sleepiness, vertigo, weakness, sense of heat were the most frequently occurring side-effects of laser therapy observed.

[The use of ozone for treating suppurative wounds].

Pathogenetic substantiation of the use of ozone for the treatment of purulent infection in surgery is given. A technique for the use of the method and its advantages as compared to antimicrobial remedies is described. A comparative assessment of the effectiveness of the suggested and existing methods was carried out.

[Use of different methods of quantum hemotherapy in the treatment of suppurative wounds in middle-aged and aged patients].

The experience with the use of the different methods of quantum hemotherapy in the treatment of elderly and senile patients with purulent-inflammatory diseases of the soft tissues has been summarized. Comparative characteristic of their effectiveness is presented. The authors consider the most expedient the use of intravascular quantum hemotherapy and combined methods.
