Sensitivity of Krasnodar Venturia inaequalis Populations to the Sterol Demethylation Inhibitor Difenoconazole.

Difenoconazole sensitivity was assessed in three populations of the apple scab agent Venturia inaequalis of the Krasnodar region. One of the populations was fungicide naïve population; its sample was collected in natural habitats of the eastern crabapple Malus orientalis in foothills of the Severskii raion. The two other populations were from commercial orchards of the apple variety Reinette Simirenko (the Krasnoarmeiskii and Dinskoi raions), where fungicide treatments with various agents, including those with difenoconazole as an active ingredient, were performed on a regular basis.

Unlabelled: Andes virus (ANDV) is the only hantavirus known to spread from person to person and shown to cause highly lethal hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS) in patients and Syrian hamsters. Hantaviruses replicate in human endothelial cells and accomplish this by restricting the early induction of beta interferon (IFN-β)- and IFN-stimulated genes (ISGs). Our studies reveal that the ANDV nucleocapsid (N) protein uniquely inhibits IFN signaling responses directed by cytoplasmic double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) sensors RIG-I and MDA5.

[The effect of Furolan on the physiological and biochemical characteristics of ripening winter wheat grain].

The effects of the preparation Furolan, (2-furyl-2)-1,3-dioxolane, on the degree of mRNA polyadenylation and the pattern of protein synthesis in the ripening grain of several soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivars were studied. It was demonstrated that Furolan stabilized mRNA in a cultivar-specific manner, thereby accelerating to various degrees the biochemical processes taking place in the ripening grain.

Advanced exact structure searching in large databases of chemical compounds.

Efficient recognition of tautomeric compound forms in large corporate or commercially available compound databases is a difficult and labor intensive task. Our data indicate that up to 0.5% of commercially available compound collections for bioscreening contain tautomers.
