[Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effect of "vitalong" in hyperlipidemia in rats].

In experiment on model of the lipidemia in rats the efficiency of new antioxidant drug "Vitalong" was studied. The researches have shown that the drug brakes derivation of free radicals, increases activity of a superoxide scavenger, has antiinflammatory and adaptogenic operation. Vitalong prevents activation of serumal elastasa, locking thus destructive link of the atherogenesis.

[Soybean bacteriological culture media and prospects for their use in clinical bacteriology].

Agar bacteriological nutrient media are suggested, based on soybean extract subjected to enzymatic hydrolysis and lyophilized native. The growth of test strains, number of grown colonies and their size were virtually the same as after inoculation of these strains in control nutrient media. Soybean salt medium with yolk suspension was tried with good results as elective medium for isolation of staphylococci from clinical material.

[Clinical use of catomas and biotrit in a combined treatment of patients with chronic neurodermatitis].

In 170 patients with neurodermatitis, therapeutic benefit was studied of two new antioxidant drug preparations catomas (containing beta-carotene and tocopheroli acetas) and biotrit (extractum from the sprouting wheat). Catomas was used in applications to the area of affection with the aid of phonophoresis, biotrit in injections. It has been shown by the studies made that employment of the above drugs combined with sedatives, desensitizing and anti-inflammatory means of remediation enhances efficiency of the treatments administered, which fact was evidenced by the reduction of the mean duration of the treatment undergone by 4.

[Trypsin inhibitors of wheat seedlings infected and treated with salicylic acid].

Using the method of affinity chromatography for trypsin-sepharose, followed by PAGE electrophoresis the component composition of trypsin inhibitors was studied. The inhibitors were extracted from the winter wheat seedlings which were infected with Fusarium fungus and also from the seedlings treated with salicylic acid. Under the action of pathogen not only a quantitative increase in the protein components of trypsin inhibitor but also the appearance of a new component with a molecular weight of 29 kDa are observed.

[The mobility of the diaphragm in funnel chest deformity studied by ultrasonic scanning].

Overall forty children with funnel chest were studied for mobility of the upper cupula of the diaphragm by longitudinal echo scanning of the liver. Quantitative data were obtained that may serve as one of the criteria for determining the degree of deformity and its progress with time.
