Introduction: Effective medication adherence, is a real global challenge that emerges as a pivotal factor influencing asthma control, exacerbation frequency, hospitalization rates and ultimately, mortality, morbidity and health care costs. In light of this, our study aimed to assess therapeutic adherence levels among asthmatic patients and identify factors contributing to non-adherence.
Methods: We conducted a descriptive, cross-sectional multicenter study, among asthmatic patients receiving outpatient or inpatient care across seven asthma centers located in two Algerian cities: Algiers (University Hospital Center of Benimessous, University Hospital Center of Bab el oued,EPSP of Zeralda, EPSP of Beraki and EPSP of Rouiba) and Constantine (Constantine University Hospital Center (CHU), EPSP of Constantine), between July and December 2023.

Metal contamination of foodstuffs is a major public health challenge of increasing concern. The present study aimed to determine lead, cadmium and mercury in honey, cow's milk and poultry eggs collected from the North-Eastern region of Algeria and to evaluate the health risks associated with their regular consumption. Methods: A descriptive, cross-sectional bicenter study was conducted among kidney transplant patients receiving outpatient care at two specialized medical centers in Algeria: the Urology Department of the Hospital Establishment for Urology, Nephrology, and Renal Transplantation in Constantine, and the Nephrology and Renal Transplantation Department of the University Hospital Center (CHU) in Blida, spanning from January to December 2022.
Consumption of foods such as milk, honey, and eggs contaminated with toxic elements above established norms poses a health risk to the population. This study explores the potential of products from beehives, poultry, and dairy as indicators of environmental pollution caused by toxic substances (Pb, Cd, Hg), seeks contamination sources, evaluates the exposure level, and assesses health risks. Through the analysis of samples from three distinct regions in Algiers, including 30 milk, 30 honey, and 30 poultry egg samples, the study assesses levels of toxic elements (lead, cadmium, and mercury) using ICP-MS and analyzes consumer exposure risk.

Methods: Biopsies were obtained from the stomachs of two groups of patients (n = 40) undergoing fiber-optic endoscopy due to upper gastrointestinal symptoms. In the first group (n = 17), only the corpus region was examined.
