Exposure to environmental pollutants via food, particularly during the prenatal and early postnatal periods, has been linked to adverse effects on the immune system. Among these pollutants, the widely used pesticide glyphosate has been associated with endocrine disruption, autism, and cancer. Occupational high exposure to glyphosate has also been shown to influence immune function and exacerbate allergic asthma.

Methods: We studied 161 primary melanomas, 45 lymph node metastases, and 16 distant metastases of 183 patients with MM.

Background: It has recently been reported that atonal homolog 1 (ATOH1) gene is down-regulated in Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) and thus may represent a tumor suppressor gene.
Objectives: We aimed to test for ATOH1 gene mutations and expression levels in MCC tissues and cell lines.
Methods: Genomic DNA isolation and amplification via PCR was successfully performed in 33 MCCs on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue and three MCC cell lines, followed by Sanger sequencing of the whole ATOH1 gene to detect genomic aberrations.
We report a 19-year-old man with rupture of the right subclavian artery after an excessive exercise of weight lifting. Imaging showed a hematothorax and hematomediastinum, a pseudoaneurysm with a maximum diameter of 4 cm, and a dissection of the right vertebral artery. As an emergency procedure an interposition graft was performed for reconstruction of the right subclavian artery.

However, limitations of model systems, such as low infection rates, restrict mechanistic studies of HBV-specific CD8(+) T cells. Here, we established a novel immunological cell culture model based on HBV-infected HepG2(hNTCP) cells that endogenously processed viral antigens and presented them to HBV-specific CD8(+) T cells.
