Purpose: The goal of successful implant placement is to maintain a long-term stable marginal peri-implant bone level (MBL). This retrospective study investigated the MBL of reduceddiameter implants (RDI). The implants were analyzed in different indication in the context of various surgical and prosthetic treatment strategies using heterogeneous data from a private practice.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFObjectives: This study compares the restoration of single-tooth implants with screw-retained lithium-disilicate hybrid-abutment crowns and single-tooth lithium-disilicate crowns adhesively bonded to hybrid abutments with regard to objective clinical and subjective patient-specific evaluation criteria over a time of observation of 3 years.
Materials And Methods: Two bone-level implants were placed in contralateral sides of the same jaw in 10 patients, each with two single-tooth gaps. After osseointegration, implants were uncovered and an impression was taken.
In addition to zinc oxide-based cements, resin-based materials are also available for temporary cementation. The aim of this in vitro study was to determine the influence of the different material compositions on temporary bonds. In nine test series (n = 30), temporary bis-acrylate single-tooth crowns were bonded onto prefabricated titanium abutments with nine different temporary luting materials.

In the present case series, cone beam CT (CBCT) scans from the clinical routine of patients treated using a novel approach for vertical bone augmentation were assessed. All patients showed a single-tooth class 5 defect and were treated using a modification of the original shell technique.
