Doxorubicin (DOX) is a powerful antineoplastic FDA-approved anthracycline-derived antibiotic and is considered as the most suitable intervention for solid tumors and hematological cancers therapy. However, its therapeutic application is highly limited due to acute and chronic renal, hematological and testicular toxicity. Oxidative stress, lipid peroxidation and apoptosis in germ cells as well as low sperm count, motility and disturbing steroidogenesis are the principal machineries of DOX-induced testicular toxicity.

Prediction of drug toxicity remains a significant challenge and an essential process in drug discovery. Traditional machine learning algorithms struggle to capture the full scope of molecular structure features, limiting their effectiveness in toxicity prediction. Graph Neural Network offers a promising solution by effectively extracting drug features from their molecular graphs.

Feruloyl esterase (FAE) has been extensively studied for its crucial auxiliary effect in the biodegradation of lignocellulose. In this study, a FAE database including 15,293 amino acid sequences was established to gain a better understanding of rumen FAEs through multi-omics analysis. The higher expression level of rumen fungal FAEs over bacterial FAEs suggests that rumen fungi may have more important role in the lignocellulose degradation.
