Purpose: Botulinum toxin-A (BoNT-A) injections have become increasingly popular for cosmetic treatments in the upper face region, particularly for reducing wrinkles and achieving aesthetic improvements. While the cosmetic benefits are well-documented, the potential effects of these injections on ocular surface health and tear film dynamics remain incompletely understood. This study aimed to comprehensively investigate the impact of BoNT-A injections on tear film parameters and ocular surface health across different time intervals following treatment.

Purpose: To evaluate corneal topographic indices and the prevalence of keratoconus in patients with vernal keratoconjunctivitis (VKC) and to compare these with normal individuals.

Methods: One-hundred twelve consecutive patients with VKC and 112 age- and sex-matched healthy individuals were included in this prospective study. Demographic characteristics were recorded, and complete ophthalmic examinations were performed for all participants.

Article Synopsis
  • The study tested six popular chatbots (ChatGPT-3.5, ChatGPT-4.0, Gemini, Copilot, Chatsonic, and Perplexity) for their ability to provide reliable information about keratoconus, using the mDISCERN and Global Quality Score metrics to evaluate answers.
  • Findings revealed that Gemini and Copilot scored highest for reliability and quality of responses, but readability often exceeded recommended levels, indicating a need for clearer communication.
  • Overall, while all chatbots performed reasonably well, the study highlighted that the reliability of information is variable, with Gemini being noted as the easiest to read and performing best in terms of quality.

Purpose: This study aimed to compare and correlate specular microscope indices and corneal topography indices in different stages of keratoconus.

Methods: Two hundred forty-six eyes of 123 participants were enrolled in the study. Corneal topography was performed using Sirius (CSO, Italy), with a rotating Scheimpflug camera and a Placido disc topographer.
