Background: The neural mechanisms underlying freezing of gait (FOG) in Parkinson's disease (PD) have not been completely comprehended. Sensory-motor integration dysfunction was proposed as one of the contributing factors. Here, we investigated short-latency afferent inhibition (SAI) and long-latency afferent inhibition (LAI), and analyzed their association with gait performance in FOG PD patients, to further validate the role of sensorimotor integration in the occurrence of FOG in PD.

Background: Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is the most common type of endocrine tumor, and its incidence is on the rise. Observational studies have linked cathepsins, an endolysosomal cysteine protein hydrolase, to the malignant progression of several tumors, including PTC. However, the causal relationship between cathepsins and PTC remains unclear.

Problem/background: Australian First Nations people experience disproportionate burdens of poor outcomes compared to non-First Nations people. Further, women living in remote communities face more barriers to care-seeking in pregnancy. Despite work being done in some remote communities, there is limited data exploring women's experiences of pregnancy care, thus a limited understanding of specific barriers and enablers to care-seeking for these women.

Background: Sequential CD19 and CD22 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy offers a promising approach to antigen-loss relapse in relapsed/refractory (R/R) B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL); however, research in adults remains limited.

Methods: This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of sequential CD19 and CD22 CAR-T cell therapy in adult patients with R/R B-ALL between November 2020 and November 2023 (ChiCTR2100053871). Key endpoints included the adverse event incidence, overall survival (OS), and leukemia-free survival (LFS).

Exploring Rehabilitation Protocols for Primary Anterior Cruciate Ligament Repair: Insights from a Scoping Review.

Objectives: The primary repair of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) has re-emerged as a treatment for acute ruptures. While numerous studies have investigated rehabilitation after ACL reconstruction, few have focused on primary repair. We aimed to describe the rehabilitation protocols for primary ACL repair, and to identify knowledge gaps and differences between primary ACL repair and reconstruction.
