CRISPR/Cas technology of genome editing is a powerful tool for making targeted changes in the DNA of various organisms, including plants. The choice of the precise nucleotide sequence (protospacer) in the gene to be edited is important in the design of guide RNA, which can be carried out by specialized software. We review and compare all the known on-line and off-line resources for guide RNA design, with special attention paid to tools capable of searching for off-target edits sites in plant genomes.

Inflammatory periodontal diseases represent a serious dental and general medical problem due to the high prevalence among the adult population, the presence of clinical forms leading to the destruction of the dentition and tooth loss, insufficient treatment effectiveness and the frequency of relapse, including in connection with the formation of biofilms. A molecular genetic test system has been developed to evaluate the content of periodontopathogenic microorganisms Porphyromonas gingivalis, Treponema denticola, Streptococcus oralis, Streptococcus sanguis and Streptococcus sobrinus in the contents of periodontal pockets. The analytical characteristics of the test system were determined, and testing was carried out on clinical samples of patients with chronic generalized periodontitis of moderate severity.

Many pharmaceutical companies are avoiding the development of novel antibacterials due to a range of rational reasons and the high risk of failure. However, there is an urgent need for novel antibiotics especially against resistant bacterial strains. Available models suffer from many drawbacks and, therefore, are not applicable for scoring novel molecules with high structural diversity by their antibacterial potency.

Background: The key issue in the development of novel antimicrobials is a rapid expansion of new bacterial strains resistant to current antibiotics. Indeed, World Health Organization has reported that bacteria commonly causing infections in hospitals and in the community, e.g.

Aim And Objective: Antibiotic resistance is a serious constraint to the development of new effective antibacterials. Therefore, the discovery of the new antibacterials remains one of the main challenges in modern medicinal chemistry. This study was undertaken to identify novel molecules with antibacterial activity.
