Costs and characteristics of admissions due to ambulatory care-sensitive conditions in children under one year of age in São Paulo, Brazil.

This research aimed to estimate the direct costs and analyze the epidemiological aspects of ambulatory care-sensitive conditions (ACSC) in children under one year of age, São Paulo municipality, 2011-2022. Total and average costs were calculated according to ACSC diagnosis groups by components (early neonatal, late neonatal, and post-neonatal). The trend in ACSC rates was analyzed using Prais-Winsten generalized linear regression.

Lactating women and the perception of useful value for breastfeeding in a prison environment.

The aim is to unveil the useful value of breastfeeding for lactating women in a prison environment, based on Max Scheler's axiological perspective. This work was a qualitative, developed in a prison unit in Rio de Janeiro, where seven lactating women were interviewed. The phenomenological interview was used for data collection, while Laurence Bardin's content analysis was used for data analysis and treatment.

Simulation framework for X-ray grating interferometry optimization.

Wave-front propagation simulations have been a tool to design and optimize X-ray interferometry devices. The often used plane wave approaches, however, lack the angular resolution to describe effects like system imperfections or inhomogeneous samples in conjunction with the X-ray source size. We developed a framework that allows to simulate optical components as well as samples with any source size in arbitrary configurations by inducing the mentioned effects within the wave propagation instead of adding intermediate models.

Retained versus removed copper intrauterine device during pregnancy: An updated systematic review and meta-analysis.

Introduction: Intrauterine devices (IUDs) are highly effective contraceptives. Despite their effectiveness, pregnancies can occur during IUD use, and the management of such cases, particularly when the pregnancy is desired, remains controversial.

Material And Methods: We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate outcomes in women who unintentionally conceived while using IUDs and chose to continue their pregnancies.
