Objective: To evaluate the potential mid-term benefit of the use of a bone substitute material in the reconstructive surgical treatment of peri-implantitis.
Methods: A total of 120 subjects (127 implants) affected by peri-implantitis were followed over 3 years in a multicenter randomized clinical trial. Participants had been randomized to either control (access flap surgery) or test group (access flap surgery and bone substitute material).
Memristors stand out as promising components in the landscape of memory and computing. Memristors are generally defined by a conductance mechanism containing a state variable that imparts a memory effect. The current-voltage cycling causes transitions of conductance, which are determined by different physical mechanisms, such as the formation of conducting filaments in an insulating surrounding.

Here, we investigate the thermal influence on fatty acid composition and degree of unsaturation in the blubber of 151 South American sea lions (Otaria byronia). Samples were collected at ten locations along the Chilean coast and spanned a latitudinal range of approximately 2500 km, an arc of 23°.

We investigate CO reduction reactions (CORR) catalyzed by 10 single-atom catalysts (SACs), incorporating weak non-covalent interactions, specifically lone pair-π and H-π interactions. The SACs, consisting of transition metals coordinated by three carbon atoms in a defective graphene substrate (3C-TM, TM=Sc-Zn), leverage these interactions to influence the energy fluctuations of intermediates and the limiting potentials of CORR, without altering the overall reaction pathway.
