Inequalities in the Everyday of Care: Dimensions of the Incorporation of Intersectional Theory in Nursing Practice.

Aim: To offer a practical proposal regarding the implications of integrating intersectional theory into nursing practice, drawing from the experiences and narratives of nurses across diverse professional contexts.

Design: Qualitative Grounded theory, following the constructivist approach offered by Kathy Charmaz.

Methods: Data collection was conducted between 2022 and 2023 with nursing professionals from Catalonia, Spain.

«I can't imagine it without my nurse»: Experiences of people with chronic kidney disease in the evaluation process as kidney transplant candidates.

This qualitative study aimed to explore the experiences of 11 adults with chronic kidney disease (CKD) undergoing evaluation for kidney transplant (KT) and examine the role played by the nurse in the process. Employing a descriptive phenomenology approach, semi-structured interviews were conducted between October 2022 and July 2023. Thematic analysis, facilitated by Atlas.

Nursing students' care of and attitudes towards lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and intersex people in times of COVID-19 in Spain: A cross-sectional study.

Objective: The objective of this work is to measure the knowledge and attitudes of Catalan nursing students regarding lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and intersex (LGBTI) patients, as well as their perception of specific training in this area, according to their internship modalities, sociodemographic circumstances, and academic background during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Background: During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Spanish Government created the "Health-Aid" internship: A paid alternative to curricular internships. There is extensive evidence that paid work environments perpetuate negative attitudes towards LGBTI patients.

Anxiety and depression in women with breast cancer: Social and clinical determinants and influence of the social network and social support (DAMA cohort).

Background: Anxiety and depression are the most prevalent mental health pathologies among women with breast cancer. Social, clinical and contextual variables may influence emotional stress among women with breast cancer. The aim of this work is to study anxiety and depression in a cohort of women diagnosed with breast cancer between 2003 and 2013 in Barcelona.

Social inequalities in quality of life in a cohort of women diagnosed with breast cancer in Barcelona (DAMA Cohort).

Background: Breast cancer is a challenge for women's health-related quality of life (QoL), compromising their physical health and emotional well-being. QoL is equally distributed among different social groups. The aim of this study to analyze the impact of clinical characteristics and social determinants of health on the QoL of a cohort of women diagnosed and/or treated for breast cancer between 2003 and 2013 in one of the main hospitals in Barcelona's public health network.
